Another Taste
November 25th, 2008Happy Halloweeny!
October 31st, 2008Welcome - part 2
October 17th, 2008Welcome!
October 7th, 2008Baby Kaylee Marie Argudo made her debut on September 30th at 3:45am. She was 7 lbs. 9 oz., 20″ long. I had to have a c-section after about an hour of labor. The recovery time sucks and I’m just now starting to feel like myself except the lack of sleep. Jeff and I are both running on empty and thankfully my mom is staying with us for a few weeks. That helps out tremendously. Sorry I have no pictures uploaded on the computer to attach and will hopefully get to that here soon. We have a ton just need the time to get them transferred. Let’s just say she looks just like Jeff.
The End is Near…or is it?
September 15th, 200814 days and counting. I feel as big as an air balloon (and look like one too - my maternity clothes don’t even really fit anymore), my feet and legs swell up so much to the point where I now refer to them as my tree stumps (lucky Jeff now has a wife with cankles - the one thing he loves the most), sleeping more than an hour or two at a time is basically non-existent and I’m just now starting to gain weight in my face. I’ve heard some women actually enjoy being pregnant but they are probably those who only gain 15 pounds and it is all belly and can still run a marathon. Those are the women we (I) hate.
Now that that’s off my chest, I do only have 14 days left - technically. Realistically, because this child has the Argudo blood in her, she will be fashionably late. Wouldn’t surprise me if she waited until the last moment she could until being forced out! Something else to look forward to is my last day of work for 3 months. 2 more work weeks until that day shines brightly upon me. As much as I look forward to meeting the newest addition, I am getting a bit nervous hoping that those motherly instincts that everyone talks about surface somewhere from my being.
Number 3
August 20th, 2008Tuesday was our 3rd wedding anniversary and we celebrated by doing, well…nothing. We had great intentions but with Jeff working nights, Tuesday doesn’t make for a good date night.
(This was our attempt to celebrate) -
I received a gift certificate for a free nights stay at the Woodmark Hotel on the Kirkland waterfront so we decided to use that up the night of the wedding we went to on Saturday. Needless to say, the wedding was late so by the time we got to the hotel, we both passed out. Jeff mostly from a busy day of groomsmen duties and me from the heat and I’m just always tired now. I was just so happy to have the air conditioning since last weekend was in the 90’s and our house was a sauna. Not a good combo when pregnant - mental note…next pregnancy will be in the Winter. We both ended up sleeping in until the very last minute we could, then checked out. Maybe not so exciting but we are ok with that.
Happy Anniversary babe! I love you!
(Thought it was appropriate to post one of my favorite pictures of him from our wedding! I’m sure he’ll appreciate it when he sees it!!!)
34 Weeks & A Wedding
August 18th, 2008Jeff was in a wedding on Saturday that was at the Newcastle Golf Club. Along with great weather, the view was spectacular! Oh yeah, the lovely couple looked amazing too! Congratulations Matt and Ashley!
Here are a few of me, Jeff and friends.
Last but not least, I had to get a belly shot since it’s been awhile.
Late Night TV
August 15th, 2008I’m sure I am one of the many staying up until the wee hours of the morning to watch the Olympics. The thing that fascinates me the most, is that I find myself watching the sports like syncronized diving and badmitton in complete awe when I would otherwise turn the channel to find something else on. I then think to myself, “What the heck am I watching?!?!” I guess that is what is so great about the Olympics.
Choose What You Say Very Carefully…
August 5th, 2008While running errands, walking into a store from the parking lot…
Jeff: (chuckling out loud)
Me: What?
Jeff: Nothing.
Me: What!
Jeff: You’re waddling when you walk now.
Me: (nasty stare) Look buddy…what would you like me to do? Not like I can help it. How ’bout from this point foward you keep your hilarious thoughts to yourself & when I ask, think before responding.
Jeff: Honey, I meant it in a good way. It’s cute!
Me: Let’s keep the cute comments to ourselves, ok?
Jeff: (Not saying a word but smiling, puts his arm around me and kisses me on the forhead.)
This is why I love him.
